Use your turn signals, piglet.

OK, so once again, we have a cop driving around not using his turn signals.  If roles were reversed I'd have a ticket today.   Driving down a local State Road over the weekend, I observed in my rearview mirror a police car approaching behind me on this 6 lane road.   We were coming up on a light and the officer did not want to be behind me, so he pulls to the right lane without a signal. We are now both sitting at a red light.  He on my right, I am on his left, and I have no one on my left.

The light turns green and we both proceed.  I slowly bring my vechicle up to the speed limit of 45 as he quickly brings his vehicle up to 55 or so and proceeds to drift over in front of me without a signal.   The upcoming light turns red and he is now braking for the light.  I eventually catch up to him at the red light.  (Hmm, he raced to the red light for what reason? We both got there at the same time) At this light, we now have the both of us in the middle lane and a car in the left lane and another car in the right lane.  

The light turns green, we all start at the same speed.  The three vehicles are pretty much even for a few seconds.  The piglet, er, police officer, steps it up a few MPH, drifts over in front of the guy in the left lane without using his signal, stays in the left lane for a bit, then slowly drifts over to the far left turn only lane to cross the other side of the road, again (now the third time) without using his signal.   He eventually turns and we continue on our way. 

I pointed out to my children that Police are ABOVE THE LAW and to always remember that.  Everytime I see an incident like this, I point this out to my kids to remind them, that they are not equal to us, that the only difference between them and us is the fact they have the law behind them and the gun at their side that they can use to enforce their law. 

This is very sad that I have to teach my kids this.   I am a White, Middle Age, Male person, but fear the police if they are not there for you, but are against you.   I remember Rodney King and many others.  Rodney is black, but there is a long history of pigs who will beat you and trick you regardless of your skin color or gender. 

Had it been me drifting from lane to lane without a signal, that pig would have demanded a breathalyzer, would have given me a ticket for reckless driving, and failure to use turn signals.  He probably would have come up with some more tickets and fees to fund his justificatation to keep him on the road.
