So after suffering through the Jets losing to the Steelers I continued the suffering by forcing myself to watch the new incarnation of Hawaii Five O. Although the show has been on for some time, it was the first opportunnity for me to actually watch it.
I tried to put the show in perspective with a new series and tried to ignore I used to watch the original as a kid. No problem I could do that. This episode was about bogus tsunami warnings that were created by a kidnapped professional in order to create a divsersion so the bad guys can rob the building that houses evidence and steal back the 27 million in cash that was taken some years ago.
Throughout the episode, Danno, McGarrett's right hand doofus had no clue about much of anything. You wonder how he go to that position in the first place. Early on McGarrett and Doofus, er Danno, was at the tsunami warning center. Danno could not understand how the bouys communicated to the center. It was a simple transmit from bouy to sattelite to the center. Truthfully, I think the writers of the show thought the average American could not understand it. So McGarrett asked the person at one of the stations for an even simpler pictorial. OMG! REALLY? Later on we continue to see Danno acting totally dumb on numerous occasions. You could see the episode yourself as I'm not going to rehash the whole story.
How come they didn't cuff the computer hacker babe while on the boat? Also, from the boat to McGarrett and Doofus back in the Camaro, what happened to the computer hacker babe? There was no one else at the boat to pick her up and bring her back to the station. She wasn't in the back of the Camaro. HELLO WRITERS! ANYONE HOME?
Toward the end after they solve the crime, McGarrett goes in to see the Governor about a missing 10 million dollars from the 27 million in which some time in the past, his team lifted from the evidence room in exchange for some bad men releasing one of his partners whom was being held for ransom, he is shown waiting in the lobby waiting to be seen by the governor. All of a sudden his three police buddies walk in behind him, Doofus, Chin and the hot babe with small boobs. The four of them were in on the 10 million dollars "borrow". McGarrett acted suprised to see them. They said they wanted to be in there with him when they fess up because they are all in it together. WAIT A MINUTE!!! McGarrett had no clue the three of them would show up? REALLY? They work together everyday, they were all in on the conspiracy and he had no clue they would show up? Long story short, the governor mentioned to McGarrett that the money was all there and they were all confused.
So in my opinion, this show needs to go!
